About the book

A house is getting ready. Cushions are plumped, floors are swept, hearts are hopeful — because someone beloved is expected. The Prophet Is Coming takes that simple, joyful idea and hands it to children, letting them picture the guest they would most want to welcome.

Along the way, young readers learn that welcoming him is less about the house than about the heart: kind words, good manners, generosity, and dreaming big.

About the author

Hira Sheikh is a writer based in California. The Prophet Is Coming is her first children's book, launched in August 2026 in Clovis, California.

The illustrations are by Laila Ramadhani, whose work appears in many beloved Islamic children's books.
